In 2030, 8 nations in Southeast Asia will be amongst the countries in the world most affected by natural disasters with floods being the most common in this area. The economic growth of Southeast Asia could increase governmental spending power enabling new systems to be implemented to help prevent and provide support in the event of such disasters.
Ligtas aims to provide relief and support in the event of these disasters. The geography of the area rules out conventional ground/ road based vehicles requiring a vehicle to travel between different islands. Ligtas is a system comprising several drone carrier units and modules of varying purposes to provide a tailor made disaster relief unit to deploy to the affected area.
